Created by YUNGCHRIS, Move Different connects people through street dance, music, and cultural exchange. Rooted in Houston’s Black culture, the programming encourages individuality, builds confidence, and creates space for people to learn and move together.
Programming that brings people together
Movement & education
House and street dance workshops combine movement foundations, improvisation, musicality, and cultural context. Sessions can welcome beginners or challenge experienced dancers.
Community & culture
Dance gatherings, music experiences, and participatory events bring youth, families, artists, and neighbors into a shared space. All levels, all love.
Artist development
Mentorship, artist talks, and professional development sessions support creative practice, leadership, and the next steps in an artist’s career.
The Move Different Workshop Tour
Austin • Houston • Tulsa • Dallas | Summer 2026
Powered by Red Bull and taught by YUNGCHRIS, the free House dance workshop series connected dancers across four cities. Each stop centered movement, music, individuality, and community, making space for both first-time participants and experienced dancers.
The tour reflects what Move Different brings to every partnership: accessible dance education, cultural exchange, and meaningful connection through movement.
